FAQ

Is it ever too early or too late to hire a doula?

Not possible! The earlier you hire the more time we have to get to know you. Decide you want a doula when you're in labor? That's ok. If our schedule allows, we are experienced and trained to be adaptable in many different situations including providing support within hours of being hired.

Will a doula take the place of my partner?

Absolutely not. Our doulas are there to provide support to the entire birth team. Does your partner want to help but isn't sure how? Don't worry. We can teach them different ways to support you so they are involved as they would like to be.  Does your partner only want to be there for you emotionally? That's ok too. We are trained on many different ways to support you physically ranging from suggesting positions that will help move your labor forward to physically supporting you when it comes time to push.
